My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was six, but I never finished anything until my oldest son asked me to teach him to crochet. Since then, I’ve made prayer shawls and lap blankets and scarves and loveys. I’ve also taken up knitting and learned to love handknit socks.
Handknits make hard winters easier to bear, don’t you think?
